Introductory and advanced classes in understanding audio will be conducted by Bill McElroy of Slipped DISC in the studio at 209 England Street, Ashland.
Cost: $15 per lesson or $50 per month
Time: 9 AM Saturdays or 7 PM Mondays
Signal path, operating level, impedance, phase, polar patterns, microphones, boards, preamps, equalizers, compressors, limiters, analog and digital recorders, hard drive and tape based systems, mixers, power amps, speakers, headphones.
Bill McElroy is the founder and engineer of Slipped DISC, an acoustically correct recording, editing, mixing and mastering facility in Ashland, Virginia. Bill has designed, constructed, wired and equipped four state-of-the-art studio complexes including Bias Recording Co., Inc., which produced over 12 Grammy award winners, 3 "Gold" albums, and one "Double-Platinum" album. Bill has engineered hundreds of albums and has received special recognition:
